Add Meet Jamie Bull, a DJ, music producer and club promoter with a sonic palette that mirrors the diversity of his dance floors. Flying the flag for vintage disco, high energy house, and electronic pop, all are welcome in Jamie’s house.

This mantra has been honed at several residencies over his 25 year career. Starting at Speed Queen in Leeds, moving to Homoelectric in Manchester and culminating in the festival Homobloc, a 10,000 capacity ‘queer bloc party for all’. Warming up for a wide range of artists like disco maestros Horse Meat Disco and Todd Terje, electronic wizards Erol Alkan and Artwork, plus pop pioneers Robyn and Jessie Ware.

When the pandemic forced the world indoors, it forced Jamie to find new ways to combat isolation and find joy. “I could either go insane or feed the brain. I chose the latter, and began to make music.” The journey took him to his youth, drawing on 80s synth pop, old skool house, sci fi and video games. Throwing these elements into his music and developing a sound. WIth an album’s worth of material created over the last year, he decided to set up his own label, Dance It Out to help learn all aspects of releasing music.

His latest project, a club night called ‘Amyl Nites’ is unashamedly queer and celebrates all things synth, throwing his love of electronic pop and club music together. “I was seeing a lot of nights in London that were either pure pop or banging techno. I wanted something in-between.”

As Jamie’s sets take him UK, Ibiza, Croatia and beyond, he hopes to bring more people together with his inclusive sounds.
